Museum of the Slovak Village
It is the largest open-air museum in Slovakia. The exposition presents a picture of traditional folk architecture, housing and way of life of the inhabitants of the north-western regions of Slovakia in the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.

Hiking to Kľačianska Magura cottage
Vrch in the Krivánská part of Mala Fatra, where the "Cottage under Kľačianská Magura" is located. You cannot get to the full hill as it is part of the National Nature Reserve, but there are hiking trails leading to the cottage, which offer a beautiful scenery of almost the entire Turčianska basin. The chalet is located at 1115 m above sea level and offers accommodation for tourists. The Magura can also be reached by bicycle on the cycle path.

Gaderská valley and Blatnica Castle
An excellent tip for a relaxing family walk, run, bike or skate. The valley is approximately 18 km long. After about 1.5 km you can turn off to the ruins of Blatnica Castle.

Strečno and Starhrad Castles
Strečno Castle
Ruins of the castle about 11 km from the town of Žilina. Below the castle lies part of the village of Strečno.
Starhrad (Old Castle)
The ruins of a castle on the right side of the Váh River a short distance from Strečno Castle. Since 2017 registered as a National Cultural Monument. The castle can be reached from Strečno from the bridge in about 1 hour by following the tourist signs. You can cross the Váh by compass.

Hiking to Malý Kriváň (1708 m.a.s.l.)
The highest hill of Mala Fatra (1 708 m.n.m.). The path to Malý Kriváň is considered moderately difficult, the hike takes about 8-9 hours. The route to Malý Kriváň starts in the Sučianska valley.

Hiking to Veľký Kriváň (2,438 m.a.s.l.)
The ascent is possible to start from two places: from Troch studničky or from Štrbské Pleso. It is necessary to take into account that it is a longer hike and therefore reserve a whole day for it.
